Dear Elbert County Republicans,
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of Dale A. Goetz, son of Commissioner Hope Goetz and brother of District Captain Ann Senetar. Dale was a Captain-Chaplain in the United States Army, stationed in Afghanistan. While riding in a Humvee, traveling to assist a wounded soldier, the vehicle was destroyed by an IED, killing all the occupants of the vehicle. Captain Goetz is survived by his wife and 3 sons, ages 10, 8, and 1 year old.
Hope and Ann have asked that we respect their privacy during this difficult time. They will update me with additional information as it becomes available. I will share that information with you as I get it.
Please pray for the Goetz and Senetar families, as well as the families of the other soldiers who lost their lives with Captain Goetz.
Sincerely,
Scott W Wills
Chairman
Dear Republicans,
I have had a request from the family. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Dale A Goetz Memorial Fund, C/O The Bank at Broadmoor, 1555 Lake Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. This fund is to assist Chaplains in obtaining books and resources for their outreach to the members of the armed forces.
Sincerely,
Scott W. Wills
Chairman
